24K and still being watched?!

I posted a reel in the middle of chaos. Frustration, worry, a day that had already gone sideways. I hit publish and moved on to the next thing. That’s usually how it goes.

“She started asking ‘how many now?’ — during times she was otherwise exhausted, almost lethargic. That number gave her something to hold onto.”

That moment is why I’m writing this. Not to chase views. Because if 24,000 people are paying attention, I owe it to Melody — and to this community — to use that attention for something real.

So here’s what’s coming: more updates. The unfiltered version. What it actually looks like to help your spouse through dialysis every other day. What it looks like to coordinate three doctor appointments in a week — and then have a provider error wipe out two of them, costing not just my time and income, but the time and energy of neighbors and family members who rearranged their lives to help.

And the wave of anxiety that follows every hospitalization. Which is happening more and more often.

Let me be clear about what this is not: it’s not a lawsuit. It’s not a provider bash. I care about my wife, and I care about this community — and that means advocating for the truth. Every person deserves healthcare delivered with dignity and respect.

The problem isn’t the people. It’s the protocols that get prioritized over the care.

I’m pulling back the curtain. That’s the mission. Stay with me.

Some of you have asked how to help directly. Melody now requires oxygen and wheelchair assistance. We have expenses ranging from hospital parking to medical equipment — plus the small creature comforts that make the hard days bearable.
